ABOUT SINDHI PULAO:
Sindhi Pulao is such a tasty rice recipe that you can make easily and can also serve to guests. It tastes very good. You can eat it with raita or your favorite dal. You can also take Sindhi Pulao in lunch.
 
INGREDIENTS:
·         Time - 30
·         People - 4
·         Basmati rice - 2 cups
·         Onion - 3 large
·         Tomato - 2
·         Green chilli - 2
·         Peas - 1/2 cup
·         Cinnamon - 1
·         Bay leaf - 1
·         Cumin - 1/2 tsp
·         Red chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
·         Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
·         Salt - as per taste
·         Oil – 2 tbsp
 

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS: 

1. Take clean and washed basmati rice in a bowl. Cover it completely, add water and leave it to soak for 15 minutes. Then filter the water and keep it aside.
 
2. Now heat oil in a pressure cooker, add chopped onion, a pinch of salt and cook until it turns golden brown. Keep the flame low otherwise the onions will get roasted quickly without getting cooked. When the onions are cooked, add green chillies, cumin seeds, bay leaves, cinnamon and tomatoes and sauté for 2 minutes.
 
3. When the tomatoes become soft, add rice, peas and salt as per taste. Then stir it and add 3-1/2 cups of water and cover the cooker. Then when one whistle comes, slow down the flame and wait for 3 minutes and then turn off the flame.
 
4. Now let the pressure cooker whistle smoothly and then open it after 10 minutes. Once the pressure is released, gently take it out on a plate and serve.
